The WalkAboutWild website (https://walkaboutwild.com), hereinafter "the site", "the application", is published by:

• In accordance with article 6-III of the LCEN, the publisher has chosen to remain anonymous. The publisher's contact details have been transmitted to the host Cloudflare, Inc. who is bound by professional secrecy, but may disclose them upon judicial request.

• Front-end & Server: The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., located at Cloudflare, Inc. 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States.
• Database & Authentication: Data is hosted by Supabase Inc., whose servers used for this service are located in the European Union (Region: West EU - Paris).

• Mandatory data: Username, Email address, Password (encrypted). This data is necessary to create an account, identify you and secure access. When connecting with Google, we retrieve your email address and nickname.
• Optional data (user content): Photos, GPX files, reading reviews, trek descriptions, user profile.
• Technical data: connection logs, IP address (for security purposes via Supabase).

• Management of your user account and authentication.
• Publication and sharing of your treks and readings with the community.
• Technical support in case of issues.

• In accordance with applicable personal data protection regulations (GDPR) and CNIL recommendations, WalkAboutWild enforces a retention and purge policy for inactive user accounts. An account is considered inactive when no login has been recorded for a continuous period of 36 months. The User will then be informed by email at the address associated with their account. This notification will specify the expiration date as well as the procedure to reactivate the account.
• You can also request the deletion of your account at any time via the interface or by email. In case of deletion, your personal data (email, password hash, username) will be erased, while your contributions (treks, readings, comments, ...) will remain under an anonymous name. Via the interface, you can first delete your contributions, or request it by email.

• Your personal data (email, password) is never sold to third parties. It is stored securely with our provider Supabase. For sending emails, we use a third-party service (Resend) that only receives the data necessary for sending. This provider may process this data outside the European Union, in compliance with the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

• In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure and portability of your data. To exercise this right, contact us at: [email protected]
